The Fellowship Program

  • On-going Educational Opportunities/ Core Curriculum

    • Regular interaction with patients under the guidance and supervision of faculty members.

    • Attendance at the Annual Meeting of the American College of Mohs Surgery.

    • Regular opportunities to teach residents, rotating residents, medical students, and dermatologic surgery support staff.

    • Monthly participation in didactics to support reading curriculum

 

  • Additional Educational Opportunities

    • Scheduled rotations with other sub-specialities for exposure to procedures/interventions which are not routinely performed in the dermatology division, including oculoplastic surgery, otolaryngology, medical oncology, dermatopathology, radiation oncology and plastic surgery

 

 

ACGME Accreditation

The Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). The fellowship meets the requirements and complies with the guidelines of the ACGME and the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS).

 

 

Requirements for Scholarly Activity

At least one original research project (clinical trial, cohort study, or systematic review/textbook chapter on a topic relevant to dermatologic surgery) that should result in either submission to a peer-reviewed journal or textbook or one or more presentations at a regional or national professional society meeting relevant to micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology.
